Feeling 'stuck' on some of my large canvasses, I've gone back to painting more sketches to focus on some basics of composition and gaining more confidence in larger brushstrokes. At the same time, I've been wanting to explore more digital art and developing that skill. Here's the first finished landscape study I completed over a couple of hours. It's referenced from a beautiful fall day in Caledon with clear blue skies, a rainbow or trees in the distance, over the harvested cornfields. The light paint splatter effect indicates just the faintest sparkling of snow on the air.
